Wally Walls Chosen For Mid-Rise Addition And New Build
Wally Walls is honored to be a part of the Team led by General Contractor Kroenke LLC for this mid-rise new construction and addition to an existing warehouse on West Lawrence Avenue in Chicago. According to Ald. Ameya Paware at last March’s zoning hearing, “six years ago, I couldn't get people to think twice about Lawrence. Now we have Band of Bohemia, which just got a Michelin star," said Pawar (see article: https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20170327/lincoln-square/lawrence-avenue-is-developing-exactly-plan-alderman-says). This project is blending existing architecture from a three-story warehouse with a five-story new build next door. Wally Walls’ ability to be utilized both for the existing structure and the new build made it a perfect fit for this awesome project.
Wally Walls worked with MWorks Architects and K.Eng Engineers for the structural components, through its engineering team led by Excel Engineers. By working as a Team, Kroenke was able to maximize the benefits of Wally Walls’ structurally insulated panels with certain in-field construction to provide an efficient, cost effective solution for the project. We were honored to be a part of that exercise and are greatly looking forward to delivering panels soon to the site.
